Light Painting and Wire Wool Photography Workshop
Time & Location
About The Event
Spinning flaming wire wool around your head, creating beautiful images as the wool turns into molten flecks of burning metal...
Is that SAFE?!
With some health & safety precautions and a bit of common sense, yes, it's very safe, and a whole heap of fun too!
Everyone attending will need to be as covered up as possible - hat, goggles, gloves. Preferably non-synthetic materials.
I'll provide you with safety goggles if you don't already have some.
We'll start the evening at the Talbot Inn on Cuckfield High Street, for a meet and greet and a chat about what we're going to do, and how. Then we'll head to the park and get cracking!
As well as making stunning images with wire wool, we'll also explore other night-time photography techniques, specifically 'Light painting.'
Bring your torches and any other light creating instruments you have, and we'll get weird in the dark!
Light painting is not only great fun and a brilliant way to create some exciting visual imagery, it is also a great way to increase your understanding and expertise in photography.
Group size will be limited to 8 people per session.
A normal 'kit' lens is excellent for this workshop - 18-55mm or something around that range will do perfectly.
Safety goggles (I can supply if necessary)
Hat & Gloves
UV filter for your lens as a precaution to protect your lens from the wire wool. (I can advise you on purchasing one if you need to. You shouldn't need to spend more than £10 on a suitable UV filter.)
Shortly before the workshop, I will send you an email with some more information, including a short form for you to complete and return, so that I have an idea of anything specific you are hoping to get out of the workshop.
“Spent the day at Bushy Park with Louise. Really great company and photographer. Was very good at answering any level of question thrown at her. Would definitely book up again.”

I had a fabulous day taking photos with Louise. She helped me to discover exactly what my camera is capable of. Lots of good advice. Louise is passionate about photography and her enthusiasm is contagious. I highly recommend a course with her.
